How structure affects function of nucleic acids, both biologically and in the performance of high-throughput assays, which are produced in genomics experiments and used by bioinformaticians as the basis for most network inference studies
Investigation into the design, generation, and analysis of gene expression data from high-throughput platforms. Specifically we are interested in understanding and controlling sources of technical variation in the data by understanding the biophysical behavior that affects microarray and NGS sequence assay performance exclusive of the genetic differences. To enhance the utility of our data, we have also conducted research into the storage, organization, and integration of mutliple data types (genetic, phenotypic, environmental, clinical etc) in databases.
